Morocco
One bedroom and two
bedroom apartments available for rental in the Massira
district of Marrakech.
Marrakech, Casablanca, Tangier…..
just the names of these cities stir a hint of spice in
the nostrils. There have always been tales about Morocco
and for good reason. Travellers extol the country's unique
living history, its shimmering light and its extraordinary
art.
Though it lies just across the Mediterranean from
Europe, barely a stone’s throw from Spain’s
southernmost tip, Morocco couldn’t possibly be farther
away. With its mountainous and desert landscapes, labyrinthine
souks, delectable cuisine, exquisite rugs and textiles,
vibrant mosaics, fragrant odours, mesmerizing music, and
welcoming people, Morocco is a most alluring and tantalizingly
exotic destination.
The Massira district of Marrakech is
outside the city walls and is the equivalent of a £2.00
taxi ride to ‘the square’, Jemma el Fna, during
the day and £2.50 at night time. The apartments are
in a five storey block (with lift) on a wide boulevard
set in a vibrant area
- One bedroom air
conditioned apartment with large terrace (sleeps two
people).
- Two bedroom air conditioned apartment with large terrace
(sleeps four people).
- Two bedroom air conditioned apartment (sleeps
six people).
Massira is a vibrant area, as yet undiscovered by tourists.
Within a couple of minutes walk are various general shops
which would take care of your basic needs. There are a
couple of ATMs just over the road, a wonderful fishmonger
and butcher, several cafés and a great ‘workmans’ restaurant
serving genuine mouth-watering tagines. There are several
workshops in the area where skilled artisans make the traditional
carved tables sold in the Medina and the elaborate stucco
for walls and ceilings – none of your tourist stuff
here.
